Linear switched reluctance motor (LSRM) and its applications in different industries have been an interesting research topic for the past few years. LSRMs proved to be a suitable alternative variety of requiring linear motion. However, use is not that popular which instigated active interest evolution newer LSRM configurations. Enhancement propulsion force along with reduction ripples, weight, acoustic noise, vibration main objectives recently proposed designs. In this paper, designs are reviewed analyzed. The paper presents one-stop introduction complete update designs, both terms qualitative quantitative parameters. addition, it takes into account challenges implementation these Based on detailed comparison as presented appropriate design can chosen given application.
